My husband Jim and I both come from the creative background of film and television production. Jim was a prop maker and carpenter for over 20 years working on such major motion pictures as Cocoon, Caddyshack, Passenger 57, Something About Mary, Waterboy and many more. He also worked in television productions such as Miami Vice, B.L. Stryker and SeaQuest.

I worked in the film industry as a make up artist, mainly in commercial work and also did a few gigs in wardrobe. The most fun I had on set was working on The Truman Show, which was filmed in the Florida Panhandle town of Seaside. I worked with the extras, of which there were MANY! And served as the on-set seamstress for Jim Carrey and Laura Linney.

Jim’s background in photography is deep rooted. His great grandfather had a photography studio in Fulton Kentucky in the early 1900’s and Jim himself had a dark room in an apartment developing Cibachrome and black and white photography. A camera has nearly always been by his side. There aren’t a lot of pictures of Jim, but there are thousands taken by him!

The birth of SpinningTales Productions is a blend of Jim’s love of photography and my geek abilities on the computer. We have combined our passions to produce fun, personal ‘home movies’ not possible in the past.

SpinningTales Productions (so named by Truuper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXo6e4WnbII our dog who chased his tail as a puppy) creates unique and memorable ‘home movies’. These movies are a special collection of your personal memories that we creatively orchestrate into a picture storybook. Each DVD movie is a precious memento, not only of the occasion, but also a photo album come –to-life of your family and personal history. We become enchanted with each family that we work with, almost feeling a part in of the celebration at hand. It would be our great pleasure to help you capture your special memories in a home movie to enjoy for a lifetime.

We treat each project with great respect, as well as having a great time doing it! You are invited to call or email with any questions or ideas you may be thinking about. I look forward to hearing from you.
